Litchard Football Club fully supports the Football Association of Wales (FAW) Safeguarding Policy,
Practices and Procedures and is committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of all members.
Everyone involved in football has a responsibility to ensure it is a fun, safe and positive experience.
By signing this Code of Conduct you confirm that you understand and agree to the following
expectations:
• Show exemplary behaviour by respecting and listening to match officials and your coaches.
• Show respect to your opponents and shake hands after each game.
• Accept responsibility for your own performance and behaviour.
• Treat all fellow players equally.
• Be friendly and welcoming to new players.
• Never bully or make anyone feel unhappy or sad.
• Encourage, support and cooperate with your teammates.
• Keep yourself safe.
• Tell someone you trust if something makes you feel unhappy, uncomfortable or unsafe.
• Take care of club equipment.
• Respect everyone and never discriminate because of religion, race, gender, social background or
ability.
• Do not take part in rough or dangerous play, bullying, bad language or inappropriate behaviour.
• Appreciate the efforts of all players.
• Do not pressure others into doing things they do not want to do.
• Understand that striving to win is more important than winning itself.
• Always play fairly and respect the Laws and Spirit of the Game.
• Be positive, approachable and encourage others.
• Display high standards of behaviour and never use foul, abusive or insulting language or gestures.
• Respect and listen to the opinions of your teammates.
• Do not post inappropriate or negative comments on social media that may bring the club or
football into disrepute.
