Litchard Football Club fully supports the Football Association of Wales (FAW) Safeguarding Policy,
practices and procedures and recognises that parents, guardians and spectators have a fantastic
opportunity to be positive role models. We all share a responsibility to ensure football is a fun, safe
and positive experience for every child.
By signing this Code of Conduct, you agree to the following expectations:
• Show exemplary behaviour by respecting match officials, opposition players, coaches, managers
and spectators.
• Deliver and collect your child punctually before and after training, matches and club events.
• Support and motivate all players, including the opposition.
• Encourage your child to obey the Laws of the Game and always do their best.
• Never publicly criticise, ridicule or embarrass any child.
• Ensure your child has appropriate clothing and protective equipment.
• Inform the Club Safeguarding Officer and Team Manager of any relevant medical conditions or
changes.
• Do not place unnecessary pressure on your child; applaud effort and good play.
• Do not interfere with coaching instructions.
• Promote equality and challenge discrimination.
• Accept that striving to win is more important than winning itself.
• Respect the decisions of match officials.
• Ensure your child has read and understood their Code of Conduct.
• Do not post inappropriate or negative comments on social media that may bring the club or game
into disrepute.
• Display high standards of behaviour and never use foul, abusive or insulting language or gestures.
• Remain behind the respect barrier and never enter the field of play without the referee's
permission.
• Help make football fun for everyone.
